St. Francis de Sales High School Newark, OH Class of 1958 Reunion August 22-24, 2008 The Reunion The class picture was taken before the dinner at the Davis-Shai House. The reunion was held on Friday, August 22 through Sunday, August 24, 2008. Although we feel we now have a pretty good compilation of pictures and memories of the reunion, if you still have anything to contribute, we welcome your submissions. If you are technically challenged to know how to provide pictures, either Marcy or I can try to help! One suggestion is that, if you are unfamiliar with how to e-mail pictures, you could have them put on a CD or DVD and mail them to either Marcy or me. Early pictures of the class members from Blessed Sacrament would be especially appreciated. For those who do not recognize my name, I went to St. Francis with this class until 1953 when my family moved to Cincinnati. In 2005 I moved back to Newark after my retirement from Xavier University in Cincinnati where I worked for 30 years in various administrative positions. I have long been involved with the web as a hobby and so, after some encouragement from Marcy Maybold Buzzelli, I decided to give this a shot. Marcy is assisting me in the project by supplying pictures, making people aware of it, and helping me edit the content. The class of 1958 was the last graduating class of St. Francis de Sales High School. In the fall of 1958, Newark Catholic High School opened its doors and graduated their first class in 1959. They have graciously included a link to this site on the reunion page of their website. The elementary school continues at the original site on Granville Street.
