1940 to 1953 - The Early Years
I was born in the old Newark Hospital (above) in Newark, Ohio on September 28, 1940. I also remember getting my tonsils out there when I was 5 or 6. I was the oldest child of three and my dad, Frank, was an amateur photographer so there were lots of pictures of me as a baby and toddler.
I entered St. Francis de Sales School in 1946 and attended through the 7th grade (that is is my 7th grade class picture)..
1953 to 1958 - The Move to Cincinnati

After 8th grade at St. Clare School, I attended high school at St. Xavier High School graduating in 1958. This is my high school graduation picture.

From 1958 to 1974 I studied and worked in various locations in Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. For a good bit of this time I was studying to be a Jesuit but in the early 70's decided life was calling me in other directions. During this time I graduated twice from Loyola University (Chicago) in 1963 and 1968 (MA).
